Wilmington Institute for Lifelong Learning Announces Fall Courses

WILL Designed as Authentic Educational Opportunity for Those Over 40

Registration begins this week for the Fall 2014 slate of courses available through the Wilmington Institute for Lifelong Learning (WILL). The term runs from Sept. 15 through Nov. 7.

This fall’s 19 courses range from Genealogy, Chair Yoga and Beginning Spanish to Walking Tours of Cincinnati, Your Rescue Dog and You, and Travel Adventures with Dick and Ginnie.

Seminars fill quickly and registration runs through Sept. 12.

WILL is designed as an authentic educational opportunity for those persons over 40 years old with a will to continue learning.

Additional seminar offerings include: Ain’t It Grand: Exploring Opera, Just for Fun: Trying Wilderness Skills, Music Through the Years, Qigong: The Mind Body Connection, How Nutrients Impact Your Mood, Tree Identification in Southern Ohio, Reading and Writing with Stephen King, Isms: A New Look at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Climate Change and the Warming of Our Planet, Navigating Finances through Challenging Markets, Simply Knitting, Stained Glass Possibilities and Composing Your Photograph.

Guentert, who retired from WC’s English faculty in 2009, is directing the institute as an educational outlet for motivated persons wishing to learn and be challenged.

“These seminars are designed for those with a passion to know, those eager to share ideas and learn new things,” she said. “Those that enroll in the program are persons that want to build upon their lives and stay engaged.”

The seminars vary in class frequency and duration, but the majority of the courses range from four to eight weeks with classes meeting once a week for one or two hours.
