Wilmington College is hosting the largest group of new students in its 144-year history. The new students include 383 first-time freshmen and 54 transfers. The 437 new students eclipse the entering class of 430 students in 2007.

T. Canby Jones, 92, a Wilmington College original, died today (Feb. 13) in suburban Philadelphia, where he resided since failing health contributed to his leaving Wilmington last August.

Ground will be broken this afternoon for a major building expansion and renovation that will result in The Center for the Sciences and Agriculture. The half-century-old Kettering Hall will be transformed into a modern facility dedicated to teaching and learning, and opportunities for HANDS-ON LEARNING outside the classroom.
