WC to hold silent auction

Proceeds for the American Red Cross

WILMINGTON – The Wilmington College athletic department will be holding a silent auction Friday and Saturday during the Hampton Inn/Damon Tip-Off Tournament. The proceeds of the auction will go to the American Red Cross.

In addition to the proceeds from the sports memorabilia event, the department raised more than $300 at this past weekend’s football game against Capital.

Some of the items available for bidding are an autographed basketball by University of Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin, a Joey Votto collage, an autographed collage of Misty May and Keri Walsh and a framed photo of Michigan Stadium.

The Wilmington Lady Quakers kicks off the 2012-13 campaign 6 p.m. Friday against Bethany, which will be followed by Hope playing Denison at 8 p.m. The consolation game will be 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by the championship game at 3 p.m.
