WILMINGTON – The Wilmington College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee named women's basketball player LeAnn Topp as its Player of the Week, for the week ending November 23.

Topp (New Bremen, OH/New Bremen) was named Most Valuable Player of the Fred Raizk Memorial Tournament as the Lady Quakers won the event. The senior wing averaged 8.3 points and 7.3 rebounds, but it was her defense that stood out. In the opening game of the tournament, Topp pulled down a tournament-record 15 boards.

Her defense on Saint Vincent leading scorer, Devin McGrath, helped WC pull out the tournament championship. She limited McGrath to just two points on 1-of-7 shooting.

In recognition of her accomplishments, she will receive a T-shirt from SAAC, and her photo and list of accomplishments will be displayed in the lobby of Hermann Court.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight about the student-athlete experience. SAAC protects student-athlete interests and provides a positive image of student-athletes.
