Spirk announces wave of recruits
July 29, 2013
Wilmington College head women’s soccer coach Steve Spirk has announced his first wave of recruits for the upcoming season.
Morgan Combs and Sarah Titterington have confirmed their commitments to continuing their careers with the Quakers by making their school deposits and completing their student-athlete information forms.
Titterington was a four-year letterwinner at Lehman Catholic High School, where she earned first-team All-Ohio as a senior. She finished her senior year with 62 points on 22 goals and 18 assists. Titterington was also an Academic All-Ohio selection.
Combs, a 2012 Tipp City graduate, returns to the pitch after attending Wright State University last year. She was a three-time Central Buckeye Conference selection, including earning first team honors as a senior despite playing in just five games. In those contests, she tallied four goals and five assist. The Red Devils claimed three consecutive conference championships in her three seasons.
Wilmington opens its season Friday, August 30 at Kenyon University.
