Quakers win at Central State
WC posts 3-1 victory

WILBERFORCE — Wilmington College snapped a season-high four-match losing streak with a 3-1 win at Central State University Thursday night.
The Quakers are now 11-15 on the season.
“We were able to play a lot of freshmen and underclassmen who haven’t seen as much action this season,” Wilmington head coach Ron Mullikin said. “They did a nice job.”
Wilmington opened with a 25-22 win in set one. Set two went the Quakers way, 25-18.
Central State extended the evening by taking set three, 25-21, but Wilmington finished the match by taking set four, 25-22.
Caity Massie (St. Paris/Graham) led Wilmington’s attack with 10 kills.
Shelbie Stephenson (Salem, Ind.) put down seven kills.
Courtney Hurley (DeGraff/Riverside) contributed 33 assists.
Addie Dixon (Marysville/Triad) led the Quakers’ defensive effort with 21 digs.
Wilmington will host Baldwin-Wallace in Ohio Athletic Conference action 11 a.m. Saturday.
