Quakers lose to BW

CINCINNATI — Wilmington College lost a 9-0 decision to Baldwin-Wallace in Ohio Athletic Conference men’s tennis action at The Club At Harper’s Point Friday afternoon.
The loss drops Wilmington to 0-5 in the OAC, 0-7 overall. Baldwin-Wallace improves to 5-2 in the conference, 19-3 for the season.
The Yellow Jackets took control of play early by sweeping the three doubles matches. The tightest contest came at the No. 3 position, where Killian Cummings (Cincinnati/Colerain) and Josh Kincaid (Loveland/Goshen) lost, 3-8, to Alex Kearney and Taylor Long.
Baldwin-Wallace completed the shutout by taking all six singles matches.
Connor LaVelle (Athens) lost to Alex Trzeciak at No. 1. Cummings was defeated by Joe Horvath at No. 2 singles. At the No. 3 spot, Kincaid was topped by Kearney. Jon Asher (Loveland/Goshen) was defeated by Matt Lachman at No. 4. At the No. 5 spot, Jesse Ingels (Morrow/Little Miami) lost to Sam Burris. Charles Hirtzinger (Troy) was defeated by Brad Minrovic at No. 6.
The Quakers will play at Muskingum on Tuesday.
