TIFFIN — Wilmington College dropped a 9-0 decision to Heidelberg University in Ohio Athletic Conference men’s tennis action Saturday afternoon.
The Quakers are now 0-3 in the OAC, 0-4 overall. Heidelberg improves to 2-1 in the conference, 7-5 for the season.
The Berg took control early by sweeping the doubles matches. The tightest battle came at No. 3 doubles, where Killian Cummings (Cincinnati/Colerain) and Josh Kincaid (Loveland/Goshen) were topped by Matthew McDivitt and Dorion Kempf, 4-8.
In singles play, Connor LaVelle (Athens) played well in the opening set before losing to Bobby Lochotzki, 4-6, 0-6 at the No. 1 position.
Heidelberg swept the remainder of the singles matches, losing just five games in the process.
The Quakers will host Mount St. Joseph in a non-conference match at 4 p.m. Monday.
