Quakers blanked by Ohio Northern

CINCINNATI — Wilmington College fell, 9-0, to Ohio Athletic Conference front-runner Ohio Northern at The Club At Harper’s Point Wednesday afternoon.
The Quakers are now 0-6 in the OAC, 0-8 overall. Ohio Northern improves to 8-0 in the conference, 13-3 for the season.
The Polar Bears dropped just two games in rolling to the win.
“There’s a reason why they are undefeated in the league,” Wilmington head coach Brian Lawhon said. “They are solid from top to bottom.”
Killian Cummings (Cincinnati/Colerain) dropped his No. 2 singles match to Michael Kathary, 1-6, 0-6.
In doubles play, the No. 3 combination of Cummings and Josh Kincaid (Loveland/Goshen) lost to Nick Kowalczyk and Andrew Korba, 1-8.
The Quakers will return to action Thursday at Muskingum.
