Music Events Planned for Academic year

College Chorale, College-Community Chorus, VIP Gospel Choir and Collegium Musicum Plan Performances

WIlmington College's musical groups will be performing throughout the 2012-13 academic year.

The College Chorale, College-Community Chorus, VIP Gospel Choir and Collegium Musicum have gained a loyal following over the years and are preparing for public performances.

The Chorale, directed by Catherine Roma, already has a performance under its belt with its highly acclaimed concert held in conjunction with the 22nd annual Westheimer Peace Symposium Oct. 17.

The Collegium Musicum, directed by Elizabeth Haskins, plans its semiannual Noon Hour Mini-Concert Nov. 29, at 12:15 p.m., in Harcum Art Gallery, while the annual Winter Concert on Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m., in Heiland Theatre will feature the Chorale, College-Community Chorus under Haskins' direction and Voices in Praise Gospel Choir, which is directed by Steve Milloy.

The Collegium Musicum will present its spring Mini-Concert May 2 in Harcum Gallery and the year's musical events will culminate May 5 with the Spring Concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Heiland Theatre and featuring the Chorale, College-Community Chorus and VIP Gospel Choir.

All events are free of charge.
