Metts receives SAAC award
Junior won three events at Quaker Invitational

Mason Metts is the SAAC Student-Athlete of the Week.
Mason Metts has been named Wilmington College’s SAAC Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 22.
Metts (Pomeroy/Meigs) put on a throwing show at the Quaker Invitational. The junior won the shot put with a team record throw of 51-11. He took the discus title with a 142-5 effort, and finished the triple win with a 160-1 effort in the hammer throw.
In recognition of his accomplishments, Metts will receive a T-shirt from SAAC, and his photo and list of accomplishments will be displayed in the lobby of Hermann Court.
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight about the student-athlete experience. SAAC protects student-athlete interests and provides a positive image of student-athletes.
