Lady Quakers to host Hoops for the Cure game

Fundraiser game is Wednesday night

January 30, 2012

Wilmington College will host a Pink Week game when the Lady Quakers face Marietta College at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fred Raizk Arena.

The match-up between the Lady Quakers and Pioneers will be a Hoops for the Cure event to help raise both awareness of breast cancer and funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

“We are very proud to host a Hoops for the Cure game,” Wilmington head coach Jerry Scheve said. “Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliates across the nation work to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. Our team is proud to support this worthy cause.”

Gate and split-the-pot proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
