AUSTINTOWN — Wilmington College freshman Corbin Hellwarth has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced today.

Hellwarth (Celina/Parkway) continued to dominate the 100 breaststroke with wins over Alma and Franklin last week.

“For a freshman, Corbin is an amazing young man,” Wilmington head coach Trip Breen said. “He has an incredible work ethic. When you talk to the team, you notice the kids that are really paying attention to things that you are saying. Corbin is one of those kids. He tries to absorb everything that he can. Like Julie Creech, who was the women’s swimmer of the week, he understands the advantage of doing little things well. Training-wise, he gives 100-percent effort every day.”
