Gabbard kicks up the SAAC honor

WILMINGTON – The Wilmington College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee named football player Max Gabbard as its Player of the Week for the week ending October 21.

Gabbard (Waynesville, OH/Waynesville) kicked a career long 35-yard field goal with 31 seconds remaining to lift Wilmington to the 13-12 victory. The win snapped the Quakers' 32-game losing streak

In recognition of his accomplishments, he will receive a T-shirt from SAAC, and his photo and list of accomplishments will be displayed in the lobby of Hermann Court.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight about the student-athlete experience. SAAC protects student-athlete interests and provides a positive image of student-athletes.
