Floyd announces initial recruits

WILMINGTON – Wilmington College volleyball coach Beth Floyd is pleased to announce three players – Ariele Paris, Noel Cain and Meghan Bruns - have decided to continue their careers at Wilmington. All three players have paid their school deposits.
Cain, a 5-7 setter from Dayton, OH, attended Archbishop Carroll High School. She was earned four letters for the Patriots and was named second team All-Girls Greater Catholic League (GGCL) as a senior after registering 387 assists with 41 aces. Cain also earned District 15 honorable mention honors and was the team MVP. As a sophomore, she was earned honorable mention GGCL honors.
Bruns, a 5-6 defensive specialist from Fort Loramie, OH, attended Fort Loramie High School. She finished her senior season with 126 digs for the Redskins, who finished 23-5 and advanced to the regional finals. Bruns was named captain in her final season.
Paris, a 5-8 outside hitter from Redford, MI, attended Lee M. Thurston High School. A three-time letterwinner, Parris is a two-time All-Western Wayne Conference selection. She earned third team all-area as a junior and fourth team all-area as a senior. Paris finished her senior season with 180 kills and a hitting percentage of .482.
Floyd will be in her first season as the team’s head volleyball coach.
