MEMPHIS, TN – Freshman Marissa Bolen set a new Wilmington College outdoor track and field record Saturday as the WC track & field team competed in the non-scored Rhodes College Invitational. As a team, the Lady Quakers finished with eight Top-5 finishes.

Bolen (Gibsonburg, OH/Gibsonburg) finished second in the shot put in setting the new mark with a toss of 39-01.25. She added a fifth place finish in the discus with a distance of 107-00.

"I was really pleased with the whole team this weekend," said head coach Ron Combs. "We had a lot of OAC qualifiers and personal bests in less than ideal conditions with the weather."

Sophomore distance runner Jenna Parlette (Miamisburg, OH/Miamisburg) recorded the lone win on the women’s side, coming out victorious in the 5000 in a time of 18:26.13. Sophomore Tricia Steffen (Baltimore, OH/Liberty-Union) added a third-place finish in the event with a time of 19:29.48, while senior Brittany Gibbons (Pleasant Plain, OH/Blanchester) was fifth in the time of 19:51.54.
