15 Quakers on OAC honor roll

AUSTINTOWN – The Ohio Athletic Conference announced the Fall Academic Team today (December 4), and 15 Wilmington College Student-Athletes were amongst the 187 student-athletes on the list.

Quarterback Brandon Arehart (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) had the school’s highest GPA with a 3.96 in Biology, while women’s soccer player Bonnie Grace (Wyoming, OH/Wyoming) carries a 3.94 GPA in Education.

Women’s soccer, led by Grace, had the most student-athletes recognized with five. Joining Grace were senior Kayla Falkenbach (Springfield, OH/Greenon, 3.72), sophomore Caroline Guindon (Barnesville, OH/St. Clairsville, 3.82), sophomore Lauren Hamrock (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek, 3.64) and sophomore Angela Phillips (Union, OH/Northmont, 3.53).

There were four volleyball players – senior Sara Fisher (London, OH/Madison Plains, 3.86), senior Anne Keenan (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek, 3.65), sophomore Emily Regan (Columbus, OH/Briggs, 3.83) and sophomore Natalie Sparks (West Jefferson, OH/West Jefferson, 3.57) – earned recognition.

Joining Arehart as football honorees were junior Kyle Akers (Sabina, OH/East Clinton, 3.66), senior Kostas Koyfis (Kristianstad, Sweden/Soderportgymnasiet, 3.64) and junior Kolt McDaniel (Johnstown, OH/Northridge, 3.76).

Two men’s soccer players – sophomore Joey Brown (Dayton, OH/Bethel, 3.59) and sophomore Evan Schlagetter (Sidney, OH/Sidney) picked up academic recognition.

Cross Country athletes are recognized in the spring with the Track & Field competitors. The Ohio Athletic Conference recognizes all student-athletes that are no true freshmen that has achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average.
