Math Club Established at WC

Groups Hopes to Evolve into Pi Mu Epsilon Chapter

March 30, 2009

A Math Club has been established at Wilmington College with an eventual goal of establishing a branch of Pi Mu Epsilon, the national honorary society, according to the group’s adviser, Russell Kincaid, assistant professor of mathematics.

The club held an organizational meeting and sponsored a euchre tournament this year. It received SGA approval for funding in February. Officers are Mark Sedziol, president; Chancey Pope, secretary/treasurer; and Dylan Givens, vice president.

Another meeting and social event are planned before the end of the semester. We will be having one more meeting and another social event before the end of the year.
