THEATRE MINOR:
A total of 24 hours is required.

THR133 Stage Makeup (3)
THR233 Acting (3)
THR290 Stagecraft (4)
THR305 Theatre History (3)
THR310 Scene Design I (3)
Required: 8 hours of THR at the 300- or 400-level.

• Professional actor, New York City
• Artistic Director, Weathervane Playhouse, Newark, Ohio
• Owner and operator, Riverview Systems, Lighting and Sound, San Jose, Calif.
• Assistant Director of Development, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park
• Assistant Technical Director, Kuss Auditorium, Springfield, Ohio


Special program features
Theatre courses:
Theatre Department courses are open to all students. They enhance career preparation and provide an added cultural dimension in any academic program.

Theatre performances:
Students are encouraged to participate in the frequent productions which are a part of the general program of aesthetic and cultural development offered to the entire student body. Recent productions have included:
• the musical Pippin by Stephen Schwatrz
• Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream
• Sam Shepard’s A Lie of the Mind
You Never Can Tell by George Bernard Shaw
• a Kabuki-style presentation of Rashomon

Theatre scholarships:
The Hugh G. Heiland/HOMEr Abegglen Theatre and Talent Scholarships are available for students who major in Theatre.

Internships:
Internships at Wilmington are important learning experiences. Interns apply what they have studied in college classes to real on-the-job situations. Theatre offers a rich variety of internship experiences in performance, technical theatre, and theatre management.
