Each residence hall has laundry and lounge facilities, as well as vending machines. Each student room is furnished with desks or study tables, chairs, beds, dressers, and wardrobe closets. Each student room also has telephone and basic cable TV hookups. Each floor has a communal bathroom.

AUSTIN HALL: The most southerly of the halls, completed in 1957, this residence hall adjoins Pickett Hall and can house about 128 men and women on separate floors. Austin exclusively houses first year students, and a number of faculty offices are located on the first and second floors.

BAILEY HALL: Completed in 1909 as the first science building, Bailey can house about 18 men and women on separate floors. Bailey has several triple occupancy rooms, and houses the First Year Experience program.

CAMPUS VILLAGE: Opened in 1998, this unique facility features apartment-style living for 92 students. Each apartment has 4 private bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a common kitchen and living room. Village apartments also have laundry machines in each apartment. Only qualifying upper-class students are eligible to live in this community. Alcohol is permitted in the Village for students and guests who are 21 and older. Meal plan for Village residents is optional.

COLLEGE-OWNED GREEK HOUSES: To date, there are up to four houses available to Greek organizations. The house accommodates at least four members chosen by the group. One resident of each College-owned Greek house serves as house manager and will be required to meet regularly with the Assistant Dean of Students for Housing. As with the Campus Village and College Commons, residents must supply their own toilet paper and light bulbs. Residents must sign a Housing Contract. Meal Plan for residents is optional. This facility is not connected to the campus network for internet and email access; residents are able to use internet service provided by a local internet service provider.

COLLEGE COMMONS:Renovated for the College in the fall of 2000, these townhouses have accomodations for three and four students. Commons apartments have one or two bathrooms, a laundry room, kitchen, living room and two to three bedrooms. The Commons is located on the outer edge of campus and houses 117 upper-class students. Alcohol is permitted for students and guests who are 21 and older. Meal plan for Commons residents is optional.

DENVER HALL: Opened in 1924 as a women’s residence, Denver now houses about 50 men and women on separate floors. It has a kitchen, a game room, and a TV lounge. The Denver community has both first year and upper-class students.

FIFE HALL:Renovated for student housing in 1997, this off-campus residence is designed for up to 10 students. Fife features study areas and a common living room. Both first year and upper-class students are eligible to live in Fife, but preference is given to students in the Equine Studies program. The facility is air-conditioned, has a full kitchen, telephone service and dish network TV. This facility is not connected to the campus network for internet and email access however, residents are able to use rudimentary service provided through a local internet service provider. Students considering living at Fife should be aware that there is no provision for transportation to and from campus for these residents. It is advised that residents have a vehicle to use for transportation.

FRIENDS HALL: Built in 1955, Friends can house about 95 men and women on separate floors and is reserved for upper-class students. It has a kitchen and a TV lounge.

MARBLE HALL: Started in 1948 by students, faculty, staff, and friends, Marble is WC’s only all female community. Marble houses about 70 women, both first year and upper-class. It has a large kitchen and TV lounge.

PICKETT HALL: Dedicated in 1965, the facilities are similar to those in Austin Hall. Pickett is WC’s largest residence facility. This hall can house about 218 men and women on separate floors. Pickett has both first year and upper-class students( Austin and Pickett Halls share a lobby on the first floor, and a TV lounge on the second floor.)
