A bachelor’s degree in Biology can be an entryway into many different careers. Biology research, medicine, veterinary medicine, and dentistry are just a few examples. The Biology program at Wilmington College is organized into multiple tracks so that students can tailor their educational experiences to their career goals. Switching between tracks is usually easy. Students are not locked in if their interest and goals change.
The Bachelor of Science in Biology, Life Science Concentration is intended for students who wish to pursue a professional career in medicine, veterinary medicine, plant or animal research, medical research, dentistry, teaching and others.
The Bachelor of Science in Biology, Environmental Science Concentration prepares students for careers in ecology research, environmental assessment and natural resources management.
The Bachelor of Science in Biology, Health Sciences Concentration is a flexible program intended for students who seek careers in the Allied Health fields such as physician assistant, physical therapy, public health, pharmacy, occupational therapy and others. The program allows students to align their Wilmington College graduation requirements with the admission requirements for Allied Health training programs.
The Bachelor of Arts degree is intended for students who enjoy biology, but plan to combine it with a career in another field such as business, law, education, or communications.
