WC Alumni Council

Wilmington College’s Alumni council has been busy on & off campus involving the alumni of Wilmington College in some exciting activities. AC sponsors the Family Weekend Silent Auction & Cookies with Santa; and helps co-sponsor numerous events including Homecoming, Alumni Reunion Weekend and the “0” Year Reunion. Their fundraising efforts also help support the College’s Helping Hands fund for current students.

  • The Alumni Council consists of no more than 15 alumni who have graduated from WC or matriculated with a class and left WC in good standing.
  • Alumni Chapters will appoint a representative to interact with the Alumni Council.
  • The Alumni Council will meet at the call of the President and/or Director of Alumni Relations at least four (4) times per fiscal year (July to June). Two of these meetings shall be scheduled during Alumni Reunion Weekend and Homecoming.
  • The Alumni Council solicits nominees, and votes for the annual Distinguished Alumni Citation awards. President of the Alumni Council presents these awards during Alumni Reunion Weekend.
  • Involvement in the Alumni Council is a great way to network with other established alumni and build your resume.
Mission of the Alumni Council

To serve current and future alumni, traditional and non-traditional, by providing opportunities for involvement in chapter and campus activities; responding to alumni needs and expectations. To recognize alumni achievement and contributions in order to build unity among the college communities, increase the value of a Wilmington College degree, and be the standard by which other alumni organizations are measured.


Alumni Council Alumni are undergraduate or graduate school alumnus/alumna from WC or matriculated with a class & left in good standing are eligible.

All class years are welcome.


Plan and execute fun and creative events for alumni

Create networking opportunities for alumni

Promote and otherwise support on and off campus events

Provide guidance to the Advancement and Alumni offices on communicating with established alumni, including Wilmington College’s President’s Advisory Council (PAC)


Attend at least 4 meetings held on campus. Executive members must attend the Alumni Reunion Weekend awards ceremony.

Attend at least two alumni event per year.
